Ensuring a drug-free and safe workplace is a critical responsibility for supervisors in the transportation industry. The Department of Transportation (DOT) mandates Reasonable Suspicion Training for Supervisors to help them identify and address signs of drug or alcohol use among safety-sensitive employees.
This training equips supervisors with the skills and knowledge to identify, document, and handle situations involving employees who may be under the influence of drugs or alcohol while performing safety-sensitive duties. It fulfills the DOT’s requirement under 49 CFR Part 382.603 for supervisors overseeing commercial drivers.
